Malpractices

Amendment of Annexure III :-In Annexure III relating to Rules and Scheme of the Karnataka S.S.L.C. Examination for sub-heading "punishment for mal-practices and entries relating to item 24" the following shall be substituted, namely:

Punishments for mal-practices:- For the nature of lapse/mal-practices mentioned in the column (2) of the Table below, the penalties specified in column (3) of the Table could be imposed.

SL No   Nature of lapse / act committed inconnection with the examinations   conducted by the KSEEB Penalty
Pre-Examination Work
1   Heads of Institutions committing any of the following very serious lapses   while   sending the applications of candidates for the examinations  conducted by the board:   Rs.1000 per Mistake
a   Changing the Marks Statement cum Attendance in respect of repeaters.
b   Recording the Date of Birth of candidates wrongly while submitting the Nominal Rolls.
c   Changing the names while submitting the Nominal Rolls.
d   Sending the name of candidates who are not bonafied students of their institution or   including the names of candidates of other institutions without proper authorization   from the department.
e   Submitting names of candidates which amount to change of centre which is not   permissible as per rules.
f   Sending over age candidates i.e., more than 20 years old as fresh and regular school   candidates.
2   Heads of Institutions committing any of the following serious lapses while sending the   applications of candidates for the examinations conducted by the board:   Rs.500 per Mistake
a   Claiming exemption from payment of fees by recording caste wrongly and causing   financial loss to board funds.
b   Not submitting the fee of exempted candidates which is due to the board, after   claiming from the concerned departments.
c   Wrongly recording the subjects/ medium of examination offered by the candidates.
d   In case of Repeaters recording their previous register numbers wrongly.
e   Submitting incomplete date of the candidates appearing for the examination.
f   Not sending the photos or signature of candidates in the Nominal Roll as required.
3   Heads of Institutions committing any of the following lapses while sending the   applications of candidates for the examinations conducted by the board:   Rs. 100 per mistake
a   Simple spelling mistakes in the name of candidates or their parents.
