HIGHLIGHTS OF THE RESULTS OF SSLC EXAMINATION MARCH 2005

• 62.46% of pass which is 6.14% raise in pass percentage when compared to the previous year.

• Udupi stands first as usual.

• Chikkodi raises from 4^th to 2^nd position. Mangalore 3^rd from 1^st position.

• Kolar to be stationed last.

• Gadag, Yadgir and Bijapur have progressed respectively from 28^th to 4^th, 24^th to 7^th and 26^th to 9^th positions.

• Hassan stands 26^th from 16^th position. Davangere raise to 27^th from 31^st position.

• Bangalore South raises from 22^nd to 12^th position.

• The results of Dharwad, Shimoga, Kodagu, Chickmagalur & Bangalore Rural districts have gone down considerably.

• 20821 students have passed in distriction grade, ie., 85% and above.

• As usual girl students have fared better than boys.

• The pass percentage of private candidates has improved.

• The repeaters pass percentage has raised from 28% to 36%.

• This time, the rural students have passed in equalent to the urban students.
